Latrun Museum: Israeli Armored Corps Memorial

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Armored Corps Museum is located in Latrun, Israel, in the Ayalon Valley, between Tel Aviv and Jerusalem.

The museum exhibition grounds have about 120 armored battle vehicles on display, ranging from World War 2 French Hotchkiss tanks to the latest model of the Israeli Merkava tank. Numerous American and Soviet armor are on display as well.

The museum's central building was formerly a British police station in mandate times. The building currently contains an audio-visual hall, model displays and various exhibits.

The museum grounds also include a 10,000 seat outdoor amphitheater. It is used for the Armored Corps major conventions and assemblies. The museum also hosts introductory courses in armored warfare for new recruits.
